A few places you might want to checkout if you're in Clermont

Nestled in the heart of Central Florida, Clermont boasts a picturesque blend of natural beauty, outdoor recreation, and a touch of history. From its rolling hills and pristine lakes to its charming downtown and vibrant community, Clermont offers a perfect day of exploration for locals and visitors alike.

Morning: Enjoy a historic and amazing breakfast

Our top recommendation for breakfast is Cheeser’s Palace, located in beautiful downtown Clermont. The building is over 100 years old, but the food is super fresh. Everything is amazing, from traditional favorites like French Toast to unique dishes like their shrimp and crab omelet. Open every day except Monday.

For those that prefer a familiar chain restaurant, we recommend First Watch, Keke’s, or Bob Evans. All of these restaurants are within a 10-minute drive.

Enjoy the beautiful landing site at Catboat Escapes

Feel free to show up early and stay late. It’s a beautiful spot to wade in the water, relax in a hammock, or enjoy a drink after your tour. We get to work in one of the most beautiful places in Florida. The least we can do is share it with you. Whether you’re seeking a solo adventure, a date with a twist, or a memorable family outing, CatBoat Escapes promises an unparalleled escapade that combines the best of relaxation and exploration.

Afternoon: Historic Downtown Clermont and Culinary Delights

After your morning adventure, take a six-minute drive back to downtown Clermont to explore its historic charm and savor some local flavors. Park your car and take a leisurely stroll down Montrose Street, where you’ll find an array of quaint shops, boutiques, and cafes. Browse through the unique offerings of local artisans, pick up souvenirs, or enjoy the architecture that harks back to a bygone era.

For lunch, indulge your taste buds at one of the charming cafes or eateries that line the streets. Whether you’re craving farm-to-table cuisine, delectable sandwiches, or a slice of pizza, downtown Clermont offers a diverse range of dining options to satisfy any palate. Just know this is still a small town, and many things are closed on Monday.

After your meal, take a guided tour of the Clermont Historic Village to delve into the city’s rich history. The village features a collection of preserved historic buildings, providing insights into the area’s past and its evolution into the vibrant community it is today.

Evening: Sunset at the Citrus Tower and Lakeside Dining

As the day begins to wind down, head to the iconic Citrus Tower for a breathtaking sunset experience. This landmark observation tower offers panoramic views of the surrounding lakes, hills, and groves – a sight that becomes particularly magical as the sun sets on the horizon. Bring your camera to capture the vibrant hues that paint the sky during this golden hour.

Our top recommendation for outdoor dining is the Lake Minneola Inn Tiki Bar. It’s part of one of the oldest hotels in the area. The tiki bar sits on the sunset side of Lake Minneola: great food, friendly service, and a fantastic view of our beautiful waterway. Our top indoor dining recommendation is The Crooked Spoon. All the food is amazing, and a great variety to please everyone in your group.

A perfect day in Clermont, Florida, offers a balance of natural beauty, historic charm, and culinary delights. From exploring the serene landscapes to discovering the stories of the past in downtown’s historic village, Clermont invites you to slow down and savor every moment. As the sun sets over the Citrus Tower and you enjoy a lakeside dinner, you’ll find yourself falling in love with the unique blend of experiences Clermont has to offer.
